The Haunted School

By Sophia, Ellie, Isaiah, Isabelle and Teddy
Chapter 1 The Ghost Room

“Hi, My name is Sophia. You may think of me as ordinary, a run-of-the-mill girl, boring and just plain-old weird, but that’s your decision to think of me as. How am I not ordinary? Listen and find out.
It all happened last autumn, us eight children (Including me) were getting ready for school. They were rushing to eat breakfast, get their backpacks, and get in the car. “Sophia,” asked Ellie, “Do you think this school is going to be better than our old school? Our old school was boring, don’t you think?”
I said, “Well what do you think? What, what do you think the school is weird. Is that correct. Admit it.” The car was silent.
Madison whispered to Ellie, “You better tell her, because she won’t give up till you tell her. She is tough.” But Ellie was silent. No one spoke. “Hey, can we listen to the Rio sound track,” said Teddy.
Andrew said, “Ok, but can we listen to number three first. I like that one.” Isabelle said, “Andrew, we both know that number five is the best. Right?” Ben said, “I disagree. Number two is better.” Eli said, “I disagree. Number seven is better.” Every one started to argue, until Isaiah shouted, “Guys! Why don’t we listen to it in order.”
When they got out of the car and one inch away from the door, the doors swung open. Ellie said, “This school must have automatic doors. Cool!” “Hmm very suspicious,” I said. “No school has automatic doors.” I looked at Teddy. He said to Ellie, “Yup. Sophia is right. No school has automatic doors.” When they got into the building, the doors slammed shut.
Madison said, “ This is creepy. We should get out of here! Hmm, that’s odd the doors seem to be, to be stuck!” Every one looked around in a panic.
“That’s correct. Every time the doors close, they don’t open till two o’clock pm.” When the figure stepped into the light, it was a girl. She was probably about eleven or twelve years old.
I said, “Whom might you be? Where do we go? And what do we do?” She said, “My name is Maria. The classroom is down the hall and it’s on your left.” As they walked Ellie said, “So how long have you been here?”
Maria said, “Well I was here last year, and you wouldn’t want to know who the teacher is. Trust me.”
When they entered the classroom, there was no one in the room but them. Teddy said, “Where is everyone? Where is the teacher?” They all looked around the room. It was quit, to quit. Then the door opened, but no one was there. They heard children talking and chairs moving, but no one was there.
Maria said, “That’s what I was warning you about. Ghost humans.”
I said sitting down, “Okay we need to get out of this room and find a way out of this school and go home.” But I knew there was only one way out, the front doors. Then Ellie raised her hand bravely and said, “Well, umm me and my friends forgotten our umm school books. Can we get them? Please.” Then a voice said, “What good manners you have. Yes go get your schoolbooks. Thank you for asking politely.”
They all went into the grim, dingy hallway.  Madison said, “Ellie you are very brave to raising your hand like that. Wow!” Isabelle said, “Umm… Sophia your bag is moving!” Indeed it was. It fell off the hanger and on the floor. Then a fluffy head of a Pomeranian popped out of the bag. Then a large Siberian husky came around the corner. The two dogs are named Emmy and Sammy. Emmy is the husky, and Sammy is the Pomeranian.
